Appearance
A perennial grass that grows in clumps with stiff, upright stems and long, arching leaves. The leaves are light green, smooth, and can grow up to 3 feet long and 1 inch wide. When bruised, the leaves release a strong lemony smell.
Size
Mature lemongrass plants can grow to be 2–4 feet tall and 2–3 feet wide.
Flowers
Lemongrass rarely produces flowers, but when it does, the flowers are greenish-white to pale yellow and appear on long stalks.
Habitat
Lemongrass prefers warm, sunny locations with well-draining soil. It is best suited for USDA hardiness zones 10–11, but can be grown as an annual in colder climates.
Uses
